Modern Electron is looking for talented undergraduate (post-junior) and graduate student interns in the physical sciences and engineering fields with experience in experimental physics and chemistry, high vacuum systems, and/or materials science. As a member of our R&D team, you will join an interdisciplinary group of physicists, chemists, and engineers working on experiments developing and testing the materials at the core of Modern Electron’s cutting-edge thermionic converter technology. You will work closely with a senior scientist or engineer on team-based experimental projects that involve hands-on work with high and ultra-high vacuum (UHV) test setups, analyzing results, and troubleshooting experiments.
