Modern Electron is a Seattle-based startup dedicated to developing breakthrough energy technologies. Our team is developing highly efficient, compact, and scalable solid-state thermionic generators, with the ultimate goal of making electricity cheaper and far more universally available for everyone. Our technology is supported by over $20MM in venture capital funding and by 14 issued patents, with 20+ more patents pending in the US and internationally.
Modern Electron is looking for talented graduate student interns in the physical sciences and engineering with a passion for energy technology. As a member of our R&D team, you will join an interdisciplinary group of nanofabrication and mechanical engineers, computational and experimental physicists, and material scientists, working collaboratively on team-based technology development projects. We are a tight-knit and data-driven organization, and our interns regularly spearhead projects and co-author patents.
