Essential Job Functions
- Administers various human resource plans and procedures for all organization personnel; assists in the development and implementation of personnel policies and procedures
- Manages employee relations counseling, monitors disciplinary procedures, oversees terminations, and exit interviewing
- Manages new-employee onboarding and orientation, and continuously updates presentation, tools, content, and documents
- Participates in developing department goals, objectives and systems
- Helps administer the compensation program and process payroll
- Coordinates training initiatives, monitors the performance evaluation program and career-pathing program, and helps to ensure all employees receive feedback and evaluation
- Conducts recruitment effort for all exempt and nonexempt personnel, students and temporary employees
- Participates in administrative staff meetings and attends other meetings and seminars
- Maintains company organization charts and the employee directory
- Assists in evaluation of reports, decisions and results of department in relation to established goals
- Recommends new approaches, policies and procedures to continually improve efficiency of the department and services performed
- Maintains human resource information system records and compiles reports from the database
- Maintains compliance with federal, state and local employment and benefits laws and regulations
- Completes other duties as assigned
Non-essential Job Functions
- Assists with other department administrative duties as needed
- Participates in company social media and advertising efforts
- Participates in recruiting and marketing events

Qualifications and Requirements
- Bachelor degree in human resources, communications, or psychology preferred
- 3 or more years as a human Resources Generalist required
- Strong written and verbal, communication and presentation skills
- Self-starter with little need for supervision
- Strong organizational and time-management skills
Working Environment and Physical Demands
This position is primarily sedentary, requiring sitting most of the time and typically works in an office or administrative work setting, without exposure to adverse environmental conditions. It may occasionally require lifting up to 25 pounds, or to carry, push, pull or otherwise move objects. The position requires the use of a computer with keyboard and screen, and a telephone. The Human Resources Generalist must have manual dexterity sufficient to reach/handle items and work with the fingers.
