Recruiting company MindHunt is looking for Senior Backend Developer with Ruby and/or Golang experience to join Swedish software development company and develop microservices working with flexible working hours and location.
About the company: Swedish based, early-stage startup with the engineering department in Kyiv. Event-driven microservice architecture and DevOps culture.
About the project: a web application for dental clinics in Europe
Office location is near "Palats Ukraina" station
Working schedule is flexible and you can work from home, coming to the office 1-2 days per week.
Responsibilities:
- You will work with an event-driven microservice architecture, primarily written in Ruby (not Rails), but language can differ per microservice depending on the purpose of that service.
- We primarily use MongoDB as a datastore, but as with languages, the datastore will be selected to best suit the purpose of the microservice.
- Our event message queue is the heartbeat of our architecture, so you will get intimate with RabbitMQ.
- We have a DevOps mentality, and as an engineer, you are responsible for the automation of your own code, CI and deployment.
- You will get to build new microservices and will be part of architecture and service design decisions.
- Our work pace is fast, and we deploy daily if needed.
- The work environment is open and friendly, with a strong focus on learning and best engineering practice.
Requirements:
- You are fluent in Ruby and/or Golang
- You have strong experience writing automated tests
- You have experience with AMQP/MQTT and event-driven microservice architectures
- You have strong experience with AWS or other cloud provider
- You have strong experience with many databases, not only MongoDB
- You have experience with Elasticsearch, Docker, Vagrant
- You automate everything
- You have a strong drive to learn, and tech is your primary interest and hobby
- In general, you are pretty freaking awesome when it comes to software engineering
