Visual Design Intern

SUMMER 2020 INTERNSHIP

At MIM Software, our design team works closely with our marketing, sales, support, engineering, and operations staff to better communicate with our customers and each other. Our designers develop marketing and educational materials for print and digital consumption in a rapidly-expanding healthcare market. We are looking for individuals who are passionate, visual communicators and dedicated to an internship of opportunity.

RESPONSIBILITIES
 
  • Develop and produce print materials such as brochures, mailers, one-sheets, and business cards
  • Design, print, and prepare trade show signage
  • Create high-quality visuals for our corporate website, presentations, emailers, and software
  • Research trends and conceptualize new marketing material
  • Make illustrations and signage to aid internal communication
 
QUALIFICATIONS
 
  • Must be pursuing a BFA or MFA in an art or design major
  • Strong fundamental art skills in drawing, composition, color usage, typography, and general troubleshooting
  • Sharp attention to detail
  • Familiarity with Adobe InDesign, Illustrator, and Photoshop
  • Interpersonal communication and presentation skills
  • Highly-motivated and willing to incorporate feedback
  • Experience with motion graphics, video, web design, 3D modeling, and Sketch are a plus

Portfolio Tips
  • No applicants without a portfolio will be considered
  • An ideal portfolio should include 3-6 of your strongest pieces
  • Including personal work beyond school assignments is strongly recommended
  • Work from collaborative projects should be clearly attributed
  • Applicants with plagiarized portfolio pieces will not be considered
