Business Development Representative

MikMak is hiring a business development representative to contribute to the company's growth strategies and business development processes. You should be the type of person who is truly a hustler, amazing at instantly connecting with people, has a knack for public speaking, understands that grit is what allows you to achieve revenue. You should see no task as too small and be obsessed with moving at light speed to continue this start-up’s upward trajectory. 

Responsibilities may include:
  • Support the Director of Business Development to achieve short and long term sales goals, build new strategic partnerships, and provide support as needed across business development including pipeline management and communication with clients and partners
  • Help generate qualified leads through content development, including but not limited to content marketing assets such as blog posts, newsletters, case studies and white papers
  • Present MikMak’s capabilities and value propositions to prospective clients and partners in a compelling, insightful and clear way
  • Manage CRM system including contacts, leads and opportunities and be able to communicate and track action items and tasks.
  • Have a deep understanding of MikMak’s goals, products, and existing partnerships to define target market categories and identify potential new clients
  • Conduct research on market and business trends within the industry to support business development strategies and to unlock new opportunities 
  • Participate in regular cross-functional meetings to better understand client needs and determine how MikMak can meet them
  • Support a broad range of proposal preparation activities including: research, coordination, editing, and formatting proposal documents

Who you are:
  • Have a sense of urgency, high energy, obsessive attention to detail 
  • Ability to take initiative and ownership of projects to see them through completion 
  • Comfortable and experienced with public speaking and giving presentations
  • Graphic design skills and an eye for compelling storytelling should be in your wheelhouse
  • You may have agency experience, come from a start-up, you may be a marketer, or you may be someone else altogether; what matters most is the energy and passion you bring every day
  • NYC based or willing to move to the best city on Earth
