Investor Relations Manager

Job Summary:
 
MicroVentures is seeking a highly motivated, entrepreneurial Investor Relations Manager to help grow its equity crowdfunding platform. This individual will report to the COO and will have responsibility for the sales and customer service organization, providing leadership, and day-to-day management. This individual will be responsible for both the overall growth of the team and its revenues. 

The Customer Service and Sales Manager will also serve as the primary liaison to our investor base and aid in delivering investor satisfaction, deepening existing relationships, and adding net new investors. As Customer Service and Sales Manager, you will ensure we have the proper sales and training procedures in place to effectively grow the organization and ensure financial strength and efficiency.
 
What you’ll do at MicroVentures:

  • Supervise and manage the Investor Support Team
  • Deliver on key metrics across revenue and new business growth
  • Develop and lead an industry-class culture of service
  • Provide thought leadership to facilitate new investor adoption and engagement
  • Maintain disciplined workflow documentation, training, and project management of technology enhancements that enable effective and efficient sales operations
 
What we’re looking for:

  • 5-7 years of experience managing a sales or customer service team
  • Financial Services industry experience, including specific experience supporting brokerage operations (investment, fund, and client operations)
  • Experience in venture capital or private equity investing.
  • Experience growing revenue and customer base
  • Strong awareness of client money flows and related regulations
  • Excellent communication skills (written and oral), the ability to work well in a team environment, and the ability to deliver clear presentations and messages to top management
  • Securities licenses: 7, 24, and 63 or 65
  • Long term solution-oriented mindset
  • Strong ability to influence upwards and downwards in the organization
  • Strong organizational skills, and the ability to meet critical deadlines
  • Expertise on financial instrument types with a specific focus on private placements, venture capital and private equity
  • Strong analytical and negotiation skills
