Director of Sales

Job Summary:
 
MicroVentures, a leading equity-based crowdfunding platform, is seeking a Director of Sales to help grow its equity crowdfunding platform.  
 
In this role, you will lead the sales team, providing leadership, strategic direction, and day-to-day management. This individual will be responsible for both the overall growth of the team and its revenues. The Director of Sales will also serve as the primary liaison to our investor base and aid in delivering investor satisfaction, deepening existing relationships, and adding net new investors. As Director of Sales, you will ensure we have the proper sales and training procedures in place to effectively grow the organization and ensure financial strength and efficiency.

What you’ll do at MicroVentures:

  • Supervise, manage and grow the sales team
  • Deliver on key metrics across revenue and new business growth
  • Provide thought leadership to facilitate new investor adoption and engagement
  • Apply financial discipline to strategic decisions to assure profitable operations and growth of the platform
  • Maintain disciplined workflow documentation, training, and project management of technology enhancements that enable effective and efficient sales operations

What we’re looking for:

  • 7-10 years of experience managing a sales team
  • Understand and evaluate startups
  • Financial Services industry experience
  • Experience in venture capital or private equity investing
  • Experience growing revenue and investor base
  • Strong awareness of client money flows and related regulations
  • Excellent communication skills (written and oral), the ability to work well in a team environment, and the ability to deliver clear presentations and messages to top management
  • Securities licenses: 7, 24, 63 or 65 or willing to get them
  • Project management experience, strong organizational skills, and the ability to meet critical deadlines
  • Expertise on all financial instrument types with a specific focus on private placements, venture capital and private equity
  • Candidates must reside in or be relocating to Austin, TX, to be considered
