Job Summary:
MicroVentures, a leading equity-based crowdfunding platform, is seeking a Web Designer to oversee graphic design for our website including public and investor facing content.
In this role, you’ll manage user experience, design and functionality across online and mobile. Additional duties will include graphic design for marketing materials, email layouts, and investment related materials. The ideal candidate has both an in-depth knowledge of graphic design including styles and layout techniques and a UI/UX mindset to help provide the best user experience possible.
What you’ll do at MicroVentures:
- Manage the design of our website and ensure consistency across all pages and platforms
- Oversee design projects from conception to delivery, design original pieces, including illustrations, ads and emails, landing pages and maintain brand consistency
- Create wireframes, user flows, process flows and site maps to present new design ideas
- Present and defend designs and key deliverables to peers and executive level stakeholders
- Establish and promote design guidelines, best practices, and standards
- Contribute, maintain and communicate UX/UI consistency of experience across all platforms.
- Consider how people interact with our product interface
- Interact with internal teams including web development, marketing and due diligence
What we’re looking for:
- Degree in Design, Visual Arts or relevant field
- 5+ years of designing and developing websites and digital marketing (email, online ads, social marketing elements, etc.)
- Proficiency in graphic design software including Adobe Creative Suite and other visual design tools
- While not required, the ability to write front-end code (HTML, CSS, etc.) is preferred
- Firm grasp on Web, iOS and Android mobile design conventions
- A portfolio of responsive web design work is required for consideration
- Proficient understanding of cross-browser compatibility issues
- Strong aesthetic skills with the ability to combine various colors, fonts and layouts
- Ability to meet deadlines and collaborate with a team
- Excellent communication skills
- Up-to-date with the latest Web trends, techniques, and technologies

- Experience of managing multiple projects simultaneously
