To help us scale, we’re looking for exceptional individuals to join our hugely talented, passionate team. We’re now looking for an incredible Junior Sales Executive to join us to target European retailers and play a pivotal role in helping us to grow. As such you’ll need to be multi-lingual - and speak both Spanish and Italian. you’ll play a pivotal role in helping us to grow. You’ll work alongside other members of our Sales team to increase revenue through new business, specifically national, high-profile retail chains in Spain and Italy.
This role will be perfect for you if you’re a highly self-motivated, energetic tenacious, Internal or external Sales specialist. You’ll have around 1-2 years Sales experience within a fast-moving business, ideally tech but we’d look at other options!
You’ll have approached C-Suite Executives and senior heads within large businesses, ideally retailers although not essential, and you’ll have a demonstrable passion to help us & yourself to succeed! We aren’t necessarily looking for someone who wants to be client-facing right now, you may be content being purely internal, but you must be credible enough to approach senior target contacts within our potential clients, at least via phone/email.
About The Role
You’ll play a critical role in increasing new business Sales within Mercaux. To do this, your responsibilities include:
- Generating leads and potentially developing relationships with Heads of Retail, Ecommerce or similar, within Fashion, Cosmetics and Jewellery retailers, to arrange and confirm meetings.
- Assisting our Sales team to manage our Sales pipeline through the funnel towards deal close.
- Wholly utilising our CRM, Hubspot, Linkedin, email and other available platforms, to research, investigate and reach out to key contacts via written forms of communication and also cold-calling.
- Maintaining our Hubspot CRM, enriching client records with relevant data & updating contact details constantly.
- Managing inbound leads and responding to enquiries accordingly.
- Developing an Inside Sales process, whilst working closely with other members of our UK Sales team.
- Assisting with the preparation of Sales presentations and pitch decks where necessary.
- Assisting other members of the Sales team with associated administration tasks, as and when required.
- Conducting other tasks, outside of the Sales remit, as necessary.
Your Experience
As well as the background detailed above, you’ll have:
- Some experience of setting meetings with senior management.
- A desire and aptitude to work for a small, high-growth business and make an impact to our revenue quickly.
- A strong understanding of how CRM’s work, ideally Hubspot.
- Experience in preparing Sales collateral and presentations for senior level Executives.
- A solid work history, ideally within SaaS SME’s.

- Strong organisational skills - should be able to prioritise effectively to meet your targets - and you’ll be happy to work under pressure when needed, to meet KPI’s and help to generate revenue.
- A technical mindset, you’ll pick up our tech quickly & be able to explain it fluently to our target clients.
