Our platform enables retailers to transform the customer shopping experience and enable omnichannel capabilities, delivering the speed, convenience, and personalisation of online shopping into the hands of salespeople in stores.
To help us scale, we’re looking for exceptional individuals to join our hugely talented, passionate team. As one of our Senior Sales Executives, you’ll play a pivotal role in helping us to grow. You’ll increase revenue through new business and legacy accounts, specifically national, high-profile retail chains across the UK.
Founded by Harvard Business School alumni, Mercaux works with clients like Nike, Karen Millen, Under Armour, French Connection and many others, across more than 10 countries.
This role will be perfect for you if you’re a highly self-motivated, energetic tenacious, Sales Account Manager. You’ll have proven Sales experience in retail technology - SaaS or E-Commerce, or similar. You’ll have sold to C-Suite Executives and senior department leads within retailers and you’ll have a demonstrable passion to help us & yourself to succeed!
About The Role
You’ll play a critical role in revenue growth within Mercaux. To do this, your responsibilities include:
- Initiating and developing relationships with Heads of Retail, Ecommerce or similar, within Fashion, Cosmetics and Jewellery retailers. You’ll work on new business and also resurrect some of our legacy contacts to generate and close significant deals.
- Managing our Sales pipeline through the funnel to deal close.
- Developing creative and unique processes to develop successful partnerships in order to drive significant revenue and top-line sales.
- Preparing and presenting engaging and informative sales pitches to C-Suite execs.
- Negotiating and agreeing pricing strategies and margins that will maximise our growth and ultimately be attractive to our customers.
- Working with internal teams to prepare accurate sales proposals and presenting to potential customers. You’ll work closely with our Customer Success and Project Managers to ensure implementation and roll-out are managed successfully and delivered on a timely basis.
- Working with our Marketing team to prepare collateral that will help you to secure meetings and close business.
- Providing competitor and market insights and analysis to develop your sales strategy according to company objectives.
- Wholly utilising and enriching our CRM, Hubspot, Linkedin, email and other available platforms, to research, investigate and reach out to key contacts via all platforms.
Your Experience
As well as your experience in Retail tech Sales in a busy growing business, you’ll be a high-achiever. You’ll also have:
- Demonstrable experience of managing the whole sales cycle from initial meeting through to post implementation.
- Strong and insightful knowledge of the retail technology market, that will help us align our Sales and delivery strategy to meet company objectives and ultimately increase revenue.
- A natural ability to identify and follow up opportunities.
- Attended trade shows, external events and conferences and presented where appropriate.
- Demonstrable experience in compiling detailed proposals and presentations in order to close Sales. You’ll have presented to customers at a senior level, and be able to utilise your energy, charisma and communication skills to engage with new and existing customers at all levels.
- Experience within an entrepreneurial, fast-moving business. You’ll be able to think on your feet and understand what it means to work in a busy SaaS retail tech startup that’s growing quickly.
- Experience in preparing relevant project reports, budget management & forecasting. You’ll be able to lead at Sales meetings in order to share information and ensure project consistency and transparency.
- Highly numerate & IT literate, with impeccable spoken and written language skills. You’ll be able to utilise MS Office to a high level, and maintain CRM systems.
- A solid work history, ideally within SaaS SME’s.
- A strong academic history.

- Strong organisational skills - should be able to prioritise effectively to meet your targets - and you’ll be happy to work under pressure when needed.
- A technical mindset, you’ll pick up our tech quickly & be able to explain it fluently to our target clients.
