Senior Integration Engineer

The primary purpose of this role is to establish engineering processes for backend solutions targeted for Medable's clients, participate in the ideation process for client requested features (including integration with other backend systems), performing code reviewing and providing feasibility analysis for feature requests. You will develop standards and platform integrations that will enable Medable to communicate with a variety of systems, which include but aren't limited to: EMRs, lab systems, EDCs, among many others. 

 

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS


  • Design backend solutions for custom client requirements, including backend to backend integrations and new features extending the Medable product offering
  • Estimate and coordinate the backend workload across varied teams including vendors and internal team members
  • Collaborate in estimations, requirements gathering and hands on implementation of the features
  • Develop integration and backend development standards for client targeted backend work
  • Understand how Medable’s products work, and configure software and integrations to meet integration requests
  • Work in a dynamic environment where no two days are the same
  • Work effectively in a team-based environment
  • Ability to learn new skills and industry knowledge quickly

RESPONSIBILITIES AT MEDABLE


  • Collaborate with developers, customer success managers, and the product team to scope, design, plan, and implement integration solutions 
  • Evaluate and determine the best way to integrate between systems
  • Simultaneously manage multiple clients and responsibilities
  • Liaison between clients and internal resources to ensure integration needs are met
  • Establish and manage project timelines and objectives, driving them to timely completion
  • Work with cross-functional teams to meet deliverables
  • Represent Medable as the face of the company to our clients
  • Participate in sales meetings or prep meetings to scope requirements for bid proposals and the timelines required to meet integration proposals

QUALIFICATIONS REQUIRED


  • Bachelor’s degree in computer science or equivalent work experience
  • 1-3 years of experience in Solutions engineering  
  • Willingness to travel up to 25%
  • Eligible to work in the United States without visa sponsorship

BASIC COMPETENCIES AND MINIMUM EXPERIENCE


  • Consistently produced outstanding results in previous work and roles
  • Must be a self-starter and highly motivated
  • Tech lead experience on a project 
  • Experience developing Javascript and nodeJS 
  • Experience developing and configuring HL7 and FHIR interfaces a plus

SPECIAL SKILLS (Bonus Skills) 


  • Knowledge of interface messaging standards, including HL7, FHIR, CCD/CCDA
  • Experience with clinical trials 
  • Experience with clinical trial or healthcare software solutions (lab, EDC, imaging, etc)
  •  Experience with clinical trial data management
  • Experience creating and managing project plans and workflow diagrams
