Cardiology Associates of East Tennessee is seeking a general interventional cardiologist to join a growing practice of 11 board certified cardiologists. This an opportunity to practice at Covenant Health's premier cardiac hospital, Parkwest Medical Center, in West Knoxville.
The practice is at the forefront of cardiac care, providing comprehensive services in general cardiology, imaging, electrophysiology and structural cardiology. Parkwest hospital has four dedicated cardiac catheterization laboratories, a hybrid laboratory and two dedicated electrophysiology laboratories.
The hospital's location in one of the fastest growing counties of the state, along with an expansive network of hospitals and satellite clinics, which provide the foundation for ongoing success. The practice is complemented by a vibrant cardiothoracic surgical program that provides comprehensive and advanced surgical techniques.

Requirements for the Interventional Cardiologist
- American Board of Medical Board Certification
- State Medical License
Responsibilities and Duties of the Interventional Cardiologist
- Provide and design a healthy diet, good exercise regimen and treatment to patients suffering from heart problems
- Should be updated on the latest heart procedures and maintain detailed reports and progress on each patient
- Coordinate with other specialist the patient might be seeing
- Prescribe and give compatible medicines and advice patient alternative treatment
- Help the patient to fully recover from their illness and have the patient follow up even after they are okay as it post recovery treatment is also important
