Seasonal Childcare

Responsibilities
  • The first and utmost important responsibility is to the children in your care.
  • Oversee every aspect of the child’s time, from free time, snacks, playground, music, story and bathroom breaks.
  • Follow Mariners Church safety guidelines.
  • Children love hands-on interaction with adults. Your job is to engage the children in a story, play with them, sing songs and create an atmosphere of love, comfort and affection.
  • Work with other childcare staff with set-up and clean-up.
  • Agree with and abide by Mariners Church statement of faith and core values.
  • Must sign and pass a background check.
  • Be available to work weekday mornings, weekday evenings or weekend services.

Qualifications
  • Intimate and growing personal relationship with Jesus Christ.
  • Interpersonal skills – ability to effectively communicate with parents, children and staff.
  • An understanding of the challenges and opportunities that exist in caring for God's people in the context of the local church.
  • It is required that all staff members are in agreement with the vision and values of Mariners Church and adhere to the guidelines and conditions for employment as outlined in the Employee Handbook.

Classification
As listed in the Employee Handbook, this is a seasonal part-time position and no benefits are offered with this job.
