The Early Childhood Coordinator works closely with the Early Childhood Director in the implementation and development of the needs of the early childhood ministry. The position is a Full-time job.
● Responsible for recruiting, scheduling and staffing volunteers for Early Childhood area for 11:30am weekend services.
● Recruit and contact potential and regular volunteers and obtain and maintain volunteer information.
● Utilize database for recruiting, attendance and maintaining volunteer information.
● Forecast the needs of Early Childhood in regards to volunteer staffing.
● Build. develop, encourage and maintain relationships with the volunteers.
● Develop Coach and Senior Coach level volunteers to oversee other volunteers, encourage, train and equip them as EC room volunteers.
● Implement training of volunteers for EC area. Recruit coach level volunteers that are able to oversee supervisory responsibilities during service and lead other volunteers.
● Oversee volunteer staffing and placement for the 11:30am service to ensure adequate ratios and safety protocols are in place.
● Carry out and hold ministry policies and processes for the safety of kids
● Lead the volunteer huddle for your service, including ministry updates and spiritual development.
● Work with volunteers and other staff on set-up and tear-down of EC area on a regular basis.
● Help assess general needs during the program and be able to address those needs in an appropriate way.
● Oversee all components of the service to ensure we deliver a quality program that represents the values of Mariners Kids and Mariners Church.
● Assist Early Childhood Director in completing various tasks of the weekend program.
● Complete administrative and operational tasks for Early Childhood and kids ministry as a whole as directed EC Director and by the Children's Pastor.
● Meet with volunteers regularly in person for coffee, lunch or other activities to foster volunteer retention and development.
