The Community Life Coordinator will work closely with the Community Life Pastor to support the ministry needs of Mariners Church Huntington Beach.
Responsibilities and Duties
- Support the following ministries - Rooted, Life Groups, Connect Groups, Men’s, Women’s, Care & Recovery.
- Recruit and develop new volunteers and ministry teams.
- Help manage volunteer teams with scheduling, communication and adequate coverage at events.
- Maintain database and accuracy of information.
- Collaborate with Community Life leaders and volunteers.
- Serve as a liaison between Community Life Pastor, other congregations, and Ministry Leaders.
- Assist with internal marketing and communication of Community Life events.
- Coordinate welcome patio presence on the weekends and ensure Welcome Center is fully stocked with Community Life materials.
- Produce, edit, and customize content for all Community Life platforms including The Weekly, Message Series Based Flow Questions, website, and social media outlets.
- Establish a process for gathering stories within the ministries.
- Gifted in administration; managing ministry calendar, email and expense reports.
Qualifications and Requirements
- 3-5 years of relevant ministry experience.
- Bachelor's degree preferred.
- Strong and growing walk with Christ.
- Skilled at working in Google Suite, Microsoft Office, and other online applications.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Experience recruiting & developing volunteers and leaders.
- Ability to work evenings and weekend hours as needed.
