Mariners Kids Administrative Assistant

The Mariners Kids Administrative Assistant will: 
  • Support the administrative needs of the overall ministry
  • Care for the needs of people calling or emailing Mariners Kids ministry and provide assistance and resources in a loving and timely manner
  • Be responsible for leadership invitations and meeting reminders, and registration forms for our ministry
  • Maintain Ministry Platform database updates, ministry files, weekly and monthly ministry reports, EMS event calendar, and Mariners Kids Calendar
  • Develop and maintain an effective filing system for staff and ministry information
  • Plan, coordinate and ensure the Children’s Pastor’s schedule of meetings, conferences, teleconferences, and travel is up to date
  • Be families with and utilize Google drive, docs, sheets and slides on a regular basis
  • Submit work and facility requests for the ministry as needed
  • Process expenditures including check requests, reimbursements, etc
  • Arrange meetings as necessary including facility work orders, room reservations, phone calls, meeting request emails, catering, IT, etc
  • Write and distribute general ministry correspondence (emails etc)
  • Be available to work a 40-hour office week, Monday-Friday from 8:30 am-5: 30 pm, and be available for special events on occasional weekends or evenings (including Child Dedication weekends, Easter services and Christmas Eve services)
  • Understand and maintain ministry communication systems, e.g. all church Ministry Platform database, forms, record keeping, etc. to generate reports pertinent for ministry purposes
  • Provide administrative assistance for retreats, special events, and conferences

  • Ability to manage and balance complex schedules and details and be highly organized
  • Sensitivity to confidential matters
