The Mariners Kids Administrative Assistant will:
- Support the administrative needs of the overall ministry
- Care for the needs of people calling or emailing Mariners Kids ministry and provide assistance and resources in a loving and timely manner
- Be responsible for leadership invitations and meeting reminders, and registration forms for our ministry
- Maintain Ministry Platform database updates, ministry files, weekly and monthly ministry reports, EMS event calendar, and Mariners Kids Calendar
- Develop and maintain an effective filing system for staff and ministry information
- Plan, coordinate and ensure the Children’s Pastor’s schedule of meetings, conferences, teleconferences, and travel is up to date
- Be families with and utilize Google drive, docs, sheets and slides on a regular basis
- Submit work and facility requests for the ministry as needed
- Process expenditures including check requests, reimbursements, etc
- Arrange meetings as necessary including facility work orders, room reservations, phone calls, meeting request emails, catering, IT, etc
- Write and distribute general ministry correspondence (emails etc)
- Be available to work a 40-hour office week, Monday-Friday from 8:30 am-5: 30 pm, and be available for special events on occasional weekends or evenings (including Child Dedication weekends, Easter services and Christmas Eve services)
- Understand and maintain ministry communication systems, e.g. all church Ministry Platform database, forms, record keeping, etc. to generate reports pertinent for ministry purposes
- Provide administrative assistance for retreats, special events, and conferences
