We're an early stage company in downtown Washington, DC. With growing interest in our SaaS product, we're expanding the team to improve and scale our tech. As a company, we're proud to host all of the best characteristics of a startup - fast moving, low bureaucracy, equity stake - while at the same time providing the stability of an established player - 401k, full health benefits, growth opportunities. We're proudly led by a female CEO and are a diverse team where everyone feels like they belong.

What You'll Do:
  • Work with Customer Support to investigate incoming issues and to determine and document their underlying cause
  • Implement fixes to highest priority bugs in close coordination with Development team
  • Collaborate across teams (Product, Development, Customer Support) to prioritize bugs and investigations
  • Participate in Daily Stand-ups and code pairing sessions in a Kanban development environment
  • Extract patterns and information from our databases using SQL
  • Produce clear and precise technical documentation for internal and external stakeholders
  • Ensure a timely response to tickets; verify all issues have a resolution path

What your background looks like:
  • 4-year degree in STEM or equivalent training/certifications
  • Ability to communicate clearly and frequently across internal teams, often scoping responses to the target party's technical/product/customer proficiency
  • Ability to explain technical problems to non-technical people, as well as the impact on customers and customer relations considerations to those not on the front lines
  • 1 or more years experience in JavaScript, familiarity within a framework like React or Ember a plus
  • 1 or more years of experience designing and maintaining website frontends with HTML and CSS
  • Experience with Python (or Ruby, Java) in a production environment (ideally 2+ years)
  • Professional experience with building REST APIs and web development, particularly Django
  • High energy attitude, technical curiosity, and initiative are a must
  • You may also have experience with SQL and relational databases (Postgres SQL)
