The Role
Full time, fee-earning technical role to include coordination, mobilisation and delivery of all stages to facilitate the preparation of an Inventory of Hazardous Materials (IHM) and the subsequent delivery to client. To include any additional consultancy and ongoing hazardous materials management as required. 

Responsibilities will include, but are not limited to:
 
  • Liaison with client’s point of contact for mobilisation of project
  • Collation of information and documents from vessel/client, to allow for desktop review
  • Review of vessel information and preparation of Visual Sampling Check Plan (VSCP)
  • Carry out on board inspection and sampling exercise
  • Management of sample analysis process and final reporting (via NexGen) ready for final QC
  • Issuance of report(s) to client
  • Additional Hazardous Materials management and consultancy as required

More about you!
  • BOHS P402 qualification (or equivalent) 
  • Experience of conducting Marine Asbestos and/or IHM Surveys or pre-exisiting knowledge of vessels, their construction and equipment onboard.
  • Clear Enhanced DBS check – this is absolutely essential to ensure we can organise work permits and visas. Unfortunately we cannot consider candidates with a criminal record
  • Flexible approach to travelling nationally and internationally
  • Flexibility with working hours including weekends
  • Strong work ethic, and the ability to work effectively and intuitively either alone or in a small team
  • Attention to detail for accurate data, and be familiar with mobile app technology
  • Have a can-do attitude and a willingness to learn
