The Role
An exciting opportunity to join the technical support team of the leading national provider of trusted risk management, Lucion Services.  Providing assistance nationally to all Lucion Services companies in any areas of administration, analytical and customer service-related tasks, this role ensures trusted centralised support by embracing new technology and change, ensuring our work is always of a high quality, delivered on time and efficiently resourced.

It's an exciting role where no 2 days are the same, giving you the opportunity to work in Europe's largest asbestos testing laboratory and building up unique administration skills in areas such as CAD drawing.

The duties of the Technical Support Assistant consist of:
  • Drawing of technical site plans using Smart Draw and AutoCAD packages
  • Generating asbestos survey reports
  • Covering reception and dealing with clients both face to face and over the telephone
  • Data entry onto bespoke client databases
  • Analysis of bulk samples
  • Analysis of soil samples for identification and quantification
  • Data entry onto a bespoke laboratory reporting and analysis system
  • Providing specialist advice and interpretation to Managers and colleagues
  • Maintaining your individual QHSE documentation and adherence checks
  • Participate in devising methods to improve efficiency or quality and to raise any issues that may be detrimental to, or pose a risk to the environment or OH&S.
  • Communication and co-operation with clients; management; and fellow team members 
  • Completion of mandatory quality control checks at predetermined intervals, including internal fibre QC, colleague cross checks, RICE
  • Responsible for supervision of trainee analysts or technicians allocated to specific projects
  • Any other reasonable duties as requested by members of the Technical Support management team
 
More about You!

What knowledge and skills you possess:
  • Administration and exceptional customer service skills are essential
  • Educated to GCSE level or equivalent
  • Knowledge of AutoCAD, SmartDraw (or similar) would be desirable
  • Knowledge of laboratory procedures would be desirable
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Hands on experience of using technical equipment (including IT)
