We're looking for a talented engineering lead to join our team and help contribute to the codebase and run the team. As an engineering lead at Lola, you’ll take on a player-coach role in the organization. You’ll manage several engineers, helping to mentor them, grow their careers, and provide technical leadership on new projects. Your focus will be on thinking about how to help the team hit their goals, how to balance speed with stability, and how to look after the long-term health of both the team and the system. We’re looking for someone who is committed to creating a positive and inclusive team culture, and who is deeply invested in empathy for the team and for our customers. You’ll also write code 30-50% of the time, contributing high quality code to support our product. We are looking for someone with an appetite for growth, and we offer the opportunity to help lead a team of excellent engineers and to learn directly from our CTO, our VP of Engineering, and a highly skilled group of engineers.
Qualified candidates have experience with leading teams and managing engineers with a variety of backgrounds and levels of experience, as well as 2-4 years of experience writing production-ready code. Familiarity with React and React Native or Python and GraphQL would be a huge plus, but we also value the ability and desire to jump in and learn quickly, even without prior experience with a specific technology.
