Product Manager

Lenda makes home financing easy by bringing the mortgage experience into the 21st century. As a direct lender, our proprietary, self-serve online mortgage platform reduces the time and costs of a mortgage, enabling us to pass those savings onto our clients and close loans twice as fast as the industry average.

Product Manager 
As a Product Manager at Lenda, you will be directly responsible for our product’s success. You will work dynamically across teams to improve Lenda’s products and customer experiences, from concept through planning to development, launch, and post-launch support. By doing so, you will help people and families quickly and easily acquire the financing they need to move into the home of their dreams, or to rework the financing on their home to achieve their financial goals.

  • Work with our head of product to define and own the product roadmap, groom the product backlog, and manage product sprints, including non-development solutions (e.g., process change, vendor integration) 
  • Conduct customer research, product discovery, market and competitive analysis, and business case rationalization. Map product projects to company KPIs and company value propositions
  • Lead key projects from concept through planning to development, launch, and post-launch support
  • Act as the internal champion for our customers. Empathize with individuals going through the lending process to determine what they need 
  • Act as the product owner for an agile scrum team; partner with engineering to ensure team delivery and accountability 
  • Act with sense of urgency and intellectual curiosity

Who you are:
  • You have 3+ years experience as a product manager. Experience with product management in financial technology is strongly preferred. Experience in online credit or lending is helpful 
  • Deep customer focus and experience with researching and determining customer needs, using online and offline research techniques  
  • In-depth experience with UI / UX and funnel conversion optimization across desktop and mobile 
  • Highly quantitative, analytical and business-minded. You have the ability to solve complex problems in an organized way 
  • You know what it means to show true leadership without authority by collaborating across the business - engineering, marketing, sales, finance, and operations. You find ways to make colleagues across teams feel like they are not working in silos 
  • You are deeply empathetic about the needs of the user 
  • You have a high-energy attitude with a proactive approach to getting things done 
  • You have strong organization and planning skills. You have the ability to constantly context-switch without compromising results 
  • Superior communication skills, both verbal (presentations, leading team meetings, collaborating 1:1) and written (e.g. clear requirements with few holes)
