Mechanical Maintenance Engineer

LeConte Recruiting Firm is currently seeking a Mechanical Maintenance Engineer for a manufacturing company in Salt Lake City, UT.  

The Sr. Maintenance Engineer is responsible for the development/administration of department quality control programs, management of the department cost improvement system, review of equipment efficiencies and performance, coordination of department budget plans, and technical support to maintenance and operating personnel. The incumbent can proficiently assume the role of a maintenance supervisor and fulfill the administrative responsibilities of the Plant Services Manager.
 
Planning and coordination of the above are essential for cost-effective solutions to the plant's needs. The above also ensures that plant standards and specifications are followed.
 
Administer the plant maintenance department quality control program. This responsibility involves a continuous review of maintenance practices and procedures as related to proper equipment repair. Administration of existing standards and the development of continuous improvement programs are necessary to ensure progressive management of maintenance activities. This requirement also includes a trend review of failure analysis to ensure maximum equipment operating reliability.
 
Must-have requirements:

1. BS Degree in mechanical engineering or electrical engineering.
2. 5 to 10 years of engineering experience including maintenance in a heavy industrial plant.
3. Thorough working knowledge of specific chemical equipment related to fluid flow, heat transfer, material selection, and basic mechanical properties.
4. Above-average management skills are required to ensure success with personnel interactions and project requirements.
