What we want to accomplish and why we need you
Suki is creating a new category in the health tech space – the digital assistant. We are going to be the voice user interface for healthcare. What does that mean? Currently, doctors use their electronic medical record system to track patient encounters (a digital version of the old paper charts you used to see in your doctor’s office and on TV). These systems can be hard to navigate and very time consuming to manage. Time that doctors would rather have to spend with their patients. We are creating the solution, come and join us! Doctors that use Suki already spend over 50% less time on administrative tasks and we’re striving to do even better.
We are a product driven company. We have one product running on a single service and we’re focused on making that world class. Our vision is an invisible yet assistive product that flexes to our customers, with a product so easy to use, doctors don’t have to learn commands, rather they can simply speak naturally and have administrative tasks done for them. Our ML team is going to make this vision come to life and is focused on understanding the intent of spoken commands issued by our doctors.
What will you do everyday?
You will participate in the design an advanced machine learning models to power the Suki digital assistant’s intent extraction system for natural language understanding and convert these models to work with the Suki architecture using ML frameworks such as tensorFlow and PyTorch. You will create and maintain optimal ML model pipeline architecture for creation and re-training while maintaining functionality, and ensuring that the underlying infrastructure scales with the growth of the business. You will assemble large, complex data sets that meet functional / non-functional business requirements and identify, design, and implement internal process improvements: automating manual data collection and tagging, optimizing data delivery, etc. You will help build the infrastructure required for optimal extraction, transformation, and loading of data from a wide variety of data sources using SQL and Google Cloud technologies. You will program in Python and GoLang utilizing a micro-service architecture based on Protocol Buffers and GRPC Developing and you will maintain backend distributed systems software code of the web service using relational database technologies including SQL. And you will help invent new ways to push ML forward.
