We're a small mission-driven team here at StackShare that's growing quickly- we recently announced our Series A (https://techcrunch.com/2018/01/09/developer-social-network-stackshare-raises-5-2-million-from-e-ventures/)!
We're building a network for developer knowledge- StackShare is home to over 200K developers, engineers, CTOs, and VPEs from the some of the world best companies including Airbnb, Dropbox, Facebook, and more. Our vision is to transform the way that all SaaS tools and infrastructure are bought and sold by building the world's first technology graph.
We're currently a team of 10- we've worked at places like GitLab, Etsy, Squarespace, StubHub, and Heroku. We're looking for an awesome Growth Engineer to join us as teammate #11 to help build that future.
This position is based in San Francisco, CA at our new office. Our stack: https://stackshare.io/stackshare/stackshare
ABOUT THE ROLE:
As Growth Engineer, you are an essential part of the StackShare Engineering team. Starting from Day One, you will work closely with a tight-knit team of engineers and designers and directly shape the future of the StackShare experience. You will see your dreams go from sketches on a whiteboard to reality, and have a lasting impact on the day to day lives of hundreds of thousands, and eventually millions of engineers around the world.
Along the way, you will also lead and shape the architecture of our own stack. You will continuously be learning and reasoning about the best ways for us to structure our code and our processes. You will be challenged to not only be well-versed in the latest trends of software development but also be pushed to come up with new solutions for us to help push the technology industry forward. You will see your contributions come to life one block of code at a time, and at the appropriate moments, open-source them out into the world.
You’ve built and shipped growth-related features and products before. You are empathetic towards developers, with an interest in core user behavior KPIs. You enjoy investigating churn, retention, activation, and building experiments. You can think through requirements and the user experience for growth experiments and come up with pragmatic solutions to solve problems in the most high-impact ways. You care deeply about UX and engagement.
You have a bias towards action, and you prefer to ship something quick rather than strategize for what the best plan is.
Bonus Points:
- You’ve got a good eye for design and UX.
- You’re a StackShare user (include your profile URL in your application).
- You’re familiar with almost every tool and service in StackShare’s stack (http://stackshare.io/stackshare).
- You’re a tools geek; you sign up for new tools and services just to kick the tires and satisfy your curiosity.
