Product Owner
LDMS is a fintech software start-up, spinning out of a large multinational group focused on delivering credit and lending software to a global market that is growing to $12 billion in the next 5 years.
We have a unique position, as a spin off from an existing multinational group we have the history, existing customers, large financial backing, a proven model and a solid revenue base. As a start up we have the ability, skills and autonomy to move fast, invest in new technologies and work with the best people.
However, this is just the start of our journey. To reach our ambitions we need builders, makers, and doers, helping us keep delivery high and bureaucracy low. We’re looking for people who want to have global impact, delivered from the heart of Cardiff.
The Role
As a Product owner you will champion the product and features being developed. You’ll be instrumental in creating and delivering the product vision, taking responsibility of the whole product life-cycle from requirements gathering and planning through to production and implementation.
You’ll work with cross-functional teams including developers, designers QAs and PMs to deliver market leading solutions. Pairing with UX designers you’ll be responsible for creating ‘best-in-class’ customer journeys and ensuring the customer is at the heart of everything that we do.
Your skills & experience?
As a Product Owner we’d like you to have existing experience, or at least time, within a similar role within an Agile driven business. An analytical mindset with a data driven approach to problem solving is a must, along with the ability to break down large features into incremental stories. You will be able to describe stories in specific, measurable scenarios and understand the significant importance of specific acceptance criteria. Any experience of using JIRA or a similar product would be a plus.
Due to the nature and seniority of the role it is expected that you will be able to handle multiple projects at time, prioritise workload, and liaise and manage senior stakeholders within the business.
Along with the above it is expected that you’ll have a passion for product ownership, a technical aptitude and the ability to communicate effectively with technical teams. You will also be someone who can positively contribute to the culture of our company.
Who are we and what can you expect from us?
We have a positive, social and open company that is made up of a diverse collection of people who are all very much focused on the opportunity ahead. We are confident in our own ability yet we realise that there is always room for improvement.
Our company is authentic, we are in our growth phase, we aren't perfect nor do we have all of the answers but we operate in an open and collaborative way, where we challenge and encourage one another to learn and evolve together. Being a team player is key, however, rest assured that you’ll be given the autonomy to get things done.
Due to being part of a wider group we are lucky enough to have a brand new office that is equipped with great facilities like real time status boards, good coffee, drinks, snacks and super fast internet connectivity, we also have split working areas, chill-out / creative spots and of course an area where we can come together to socialise. All of this is within a 2 minute walk from central station.
Our salaries are competitive and based on individuals experience.
