DESCRIPTION OF SERVICES:
Contractor personnel shall provide a range of science and technology advisory and assistance services (A&AS) in support of the POHP/PHT mission. These services shall include assisting PHT principal investigators and biological scientists with developing and deploying technologies to maximize performance, reduce injury risk, and enhance fitness gains of US Air Force Aircraft Maintenance personnel in support for biomechanical stressors impacting operational readiness of aircraft maintenance personnel.
DESCRIPTION OF EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE REQUIRED:
- Ten (10) years of work experience in military healthcare administration
- Ten (10) years of active-duty military experience in flight line aircraft maintenance career fields.
- Relevant military experience must be documented with at least a 7-level experience indicator in aircraft maintenance, including expertise with multiple aircraft and deployments.
- Bachelor’s degree in an applied science is highly desirable.
DESCRIPTION OF TASKS:
- Assist PHT staff in the communication, socialization, and distribution of POHP goals and objectives to address customer needs in Aircraft Maintenance career fields throughout the Total Force (Regular Air Force, Reserve Component, and Air National Guard)
- Update/conduct informal enquiries of Aircraft Maintenance career field personnel to ensure POHP research efforts are aligned to operational medical readiness demand signals.
- Coordinate schedules with operational units hosting research efforts and PHT staff to maximize potential subject availability and enrollment.
- Support development, reporting, and editing of competitive, well-written, full drafts of research proposals, papers, and presentations.
- Assist with the preparation, coordination, and submission of protocol-related documents to Institutional Review Boards (IRB) or Institutional Biosafety Committee, to include completing requisite training and associated tasks for inclusion as personnel engaged in human subjects research.
