DevOps Engineer

LANDR is looking for a DevOps Engineer who is a true team player with strong social and soft skills and who will want to leave its mark on a widely used cloud-based solution for the music industry.

Position Responsibilities

As a DevOps team member, you’ll work collaboratively with software engineering to deploy and operate our software environments. You will help automate and streamline our operations and processes. Build and maintain tools for deployment, monitoring and operations. You will participate in all team sprint activities to ensure environments are ready for products being developed & deployed. You will help troubleshoot and resolve issues in our dev, test and production environments.

Responsibilities

  • Promote DevOps mindset within the software team and bridge the gap between development and operations
  • Work on efficient tools and processes to empower the product development team
  • Automate recurring activities and critical processes
  • Troubleshoot issues and incidents in a timely fashion and suggest durable solutions to them 
  • Bring an operational, cloud and infrastructure architecture expertise
  • Plan and implement infrastructure and tooling evolution
  • Manage development, staging and production cloud environments
  • Maintain and evolve a continuous integration / continuous delivery pipeline in a zero-downtime, high volume deployment environment
  • Implement monitoring and alerting best practices at all levels of the LANDR platform
  • Monitor platform load and help scale service capacity
  • Follow security best practices

Position Requirements

  • 3+ years of professional experience within product-oriented companies
  • Experience evolving in Agile/Scrum development cycle, building and delivering high quality software on time
  • Experience with cloud computing services (AWS, Google Cloud, Azure, etc.)
  • Experience with Docker and container orchestration platforms
  • Strong development and automation skills
  • Experience in Networking and Security
  • Systems administration experience with Linux, Windows, OSX environments
  • Experience with high availability strategies
  • Experience with configuration management tools (Ansible, Chef, Salt, Puppet, etc.)
  • Experience in configuring and maintaining a database for high availability

  • Strong analytical skills and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced startup Agile development environment
  • Self-motivated, excellent hands-on skills and someone that enjoys delivering products
  • Results-oriented & able to contribute in team environment
  • A Master or Bachelor degree in software engineering or computer science is a plus but your talent is what will make you valuable to the team
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills in French and English
