The R&D Technician will assist in the creation of samples and prototypes for R&D purposes. The individual will be responsible for providing support and project work in a laboratory environment.
Duties and Responsibilities
- Prepares food products in lab size batch quantities in a safe and sanitary manner
- Prepares samples for shipment
- Measure food attributes using lab equipment (scales, Aw, pH)
- Documents and keeps accurate records of recipe work
- Keeps the lab clean and orderly
- Performs other duties as directed by management
Minimum Job Requirements
- High School Diploma or equivalent
- Experience with Good Manufacturing Practices
- Ability to effectively read, comprehend, and adjust recipes accurately with calculations, times, temperatures, and other important information
- Basic use of kitchen tools and equipment
- Ability to adapt to a dynamic work environment
- Desire to learn new concepts quickly and apply in productive ways
- Must be able to work with top 8 food allergens
- Love food and be fun to work with :)
Details
- This is a part-time position with potential to become a full-time person in the future
- You will be eligible for 20-30 hours per week
- Schedule to be determined with the manager upon hire
