R&D Technician

The R&D Technician will assist in the creation of samples and prototypes for R&D purposes. The individual will be responsible for providing support and project work in a laboratory environment.
 
Duties and Responsibilities

  • Prepares food products in lab size batch quantities in a safe and sanitary manner
  • Prepares samples for shipment
  • Measure food attributes using lab equipment (scales, Aw, pH)
  • Documents and keeps accurate records of recipe work
  • Keeps the lab clean and orderly
  • Performs other duties as directed by management

Minimum Job Requirements

  • High School Diploma or equivalent
  • Experience with Good Manufacturing Practices
  • Ability to effectively read, comprehend, and adjust recipes accurately with calculations, times, temperatures, and other important information
  • Basic use of kitchen tools and equipment
  • Ability to adapt to a dynamic work environment
  • Desire to learn new concepts quickly and apply in productive ways
  • Must be able to work with top 8 food allergens 
  • Love food and be fun to work with :)

Details

  • This is a part-time position with potential to become a full-time person in the future
  • You will be eligible for 20-30 hours per week
  • Schedule to be determined with the manager upon hire
