Logistics Manager

Job Description:
Logistics is a major component of the success and growth of the LabMinds and our customers. The goal of this position is to ensure that all customers and business operations have adequate material to achieve their objectives.
 
The qualified individual will be responsible for leading and managing all aspects of a logistics; to ensure consistent service, customer satisfaction, cost efficient operations, and compliance with company policies and procedures. They will own day-to-day execution of inventory management, purchasing activities, monitoring all shipments, as well as other relevant tasks. The Logistics manager should have experience with both domestic and international freight within a global organization.
 
A successful Logistics Manager is a reliable professional with excellent record-keeping abilities. They possess great attention to detail and a business mindset. 
 
Responsibilities: 
-       Monitor inventory at all customer sites and our office to make certain to replenish stock while avoiding inefficiencies or excessive surplus.
-       Diligent follow-up to open issues/orders to ensure on time deliveries or completion.
-       Create and manage Import/Export and Domestic Shipment Files including the following: BOL, CI, Certificate of origin, SLI, Packing slips
-       Work with carriers to schedule shipments, track shipment status and provide timely PODs to finance and our customers.
-       Record daily deliveries and shipments, reconcile inventory, and analyze data to anticipate future needs and optimize current logistics procedures.
-       Manage customer returns and non-conforming material transactions and update all databases as required
-       Maintain performance statistics and ensure accurate record keeping of all logistics tasks inside and outside of our control center.
-       Provide timely and thorough review of all logistics expenses, continually strategizing to improve costs and efficiency.
 
 
Education/Experience:
-       Bachelor’s degree in supply chain management, economics, finance, operations, or related field.
-       Proven experience as logistics manager or similar position in a manufacturing environment.
-       3-5 years’ experience in shipping, logistics, inventory control, purchasing or production planning/supervising role(s). 
-       Experience managing logistics in a global setting. 
-       Have proven experience implementing processes and procedures with comprehensive knowledge of ERP and MRP systems. 
-       Working knowledge of strategic logistics planning principles, and end to end supply chains.
-       Excellent organizational and planning skills.
-       Experience in life science or pharmaceutical industry is a plus

-       Organized with a high attention to detail
-       Ability to adapt to rapid change, wear multiple hats and work under pressure
-       Ability to communicate and interact effectively with people from multi-functional and diverse backgrounds. 
-       Moderate to advance computer skills – including, but not limited to e-mail, Microsoft Word, Microsoft Excel, and Google Docs/sheets.
-       Ability to work under tight timelines.
-       Ability to write reports, business correspondence, and procedure manuals. 
-       Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from management, employees and vendors. 
-       Reliable and trustworthy.
