Koa Prep is one of the first basketball schools in the area and we are dedicated to help kids get into a better college and extend their playing career. We will accomplish this through transformational teaching, total college basketball player preparation and best in class fitness training. We are entering our inaugural season as a basketball school but Koa Sports (Koa Prep’s sponsor) has been an award winning sports program for youth athletes in the DC Metro area. Koa Sports has been recognized three straight years by Best of Bethesda Magazine as a top sports program and CEO/Head of School Tony Korson has put together a staff who are dedicated to bring that excellence to Koa Prep.
Koa Sports is a 501 (c)(3) non-profit organization, whose mission is to Shape Kid's Lives Through Sports. We are looking for a dedicated individual who is able to adequately lead and to help guide our kids both on and off the playing field.
Responsibilities: MUST BE AVAILABLE TO DURING THE DAY & WORK WEEKENDS. Willing to travel. Be a proven leader, who leads by example both on and off the court. Be a great role model to the children. Be an all-star communicator. Be responsible and take pride in shaping kid’s lives. Must be able to participate in basketball activities and have a cell phone. As an Graduate Assistant Coach you will directly report to the Head Coach. You will receive a monthly schedule which includes you to help with practice plan development, player development, and handle day-to-day tasks.
Job Type: Part-time/Internship
- Must have a background in basketball. Experience in coaching/athletic training is a plus.
- High school diploma or equivalent
