Director of Business Development

As the Director of Business Development, you engage with C-suites, VPs, and internal stakeholders to identify and implement AI-powered solutions that ultimately lowers healthcare costs and insure more people.  You build rapport with senior level executives, lead a consulting-style change to business workflows and articulate business offerings mapped to the capabilities of Lydia AI. Your work will involve working with the biggest players in multinational health insurance, governments, identifying new opportunities where early prediction can make a significant impact to both business and healthcare outcomes.

Responsibilities
  • Lead a consultative sales methodology with an average sales cycle of 4-6 months
  • Build financial models to help support business cases for use cases
  • Manage multiple opportunities through the entire sales cycle simultaneously, working with the Product team, and serve as the primary business contact for all sales-related activities
  • Gathering business requirements and working with the Product team to translate requirements into features
  • Manage leads and maintain contact with clients in order to understand their needs
  • Create business plans to facilitate the attainment of goals and quotas
  • Presenting products and technical demonstrations to prospective clients
  • Negotiating agreements and keeping records of sales and data
  • Adopting data-driven methods for sales forecasting 

Requirements
  • Minimum 5 years of sales or consulting experience
  • Personable and capable of working with C-suites and build upon the client’s digital transformation strategy
  • Strong existing relationships within insurance and solid understanding of national health insurance, underwriting, and claims reimbursements
  • Comfortable in a fast-paced and evolving startup environment which includes ongoing self-learning and an ability to transform multiple uncertainties and unknowns into executable plans and solutions
  • Bilingual (Chinese or Japanese)
