Apparel Production Assistant Needed
This is a dream role designed specifically for a high-achieving, Production Assistant who wants to work in the apparel industry yet have a flexible schedule and more time with family!

Your hours will be flexible but will be worked between 9am to 5pm PST Monday through Friday. This job is partially remote (approx. 2 days per week).
Opportunity (the job): This person will spend approximately half of their time in the office supporting any development or production needs (picking up / dropping off materials, samples, finishing, counting trim and hardware, keeping the sample room clean and organized, etc) and the other half of their time working remote (updating tech packs, corresponding with manufacturers and crunching data for re-orders).

We are looking for someone who…
- Wants to be hands-on and develop their experience/knowledge of apparel development and production processes.
- Is exceptional in Microsoft Excel and Word and extremely tech-savvy.
- Loves the “business” of apparel design and production, and responsible enough to follow through on things and check their own work.
- Is a finisher. Do you hate leaving projects unfinished? You must love the details of your work, and work dutifully to ensure projects are done and correct.
- Is a self-starter who wants to excel and grow in their position.
- Has a solid apparel background and is always striving to learn more.
- Troubleshoots issues and discrepancies and checks for errors.
- Loves continual process improvement and technology.
Bonus Skills:
- Knowledge of PLM or other Apparel Development Software.
- Knowledge of Adobe Creative Suite.
- Previous experience in Woven Fashion.

Someone who doesn’t love a fast-paced environment and lacks the follow-through to consistently get things done in a timely manner.- Someone who is only motivated by a boss telling him or her to work harder.
- Someone who doesn’t know Word and Excel and is not tech-savvy.

We Hire Characters Not Positions:

Responsibilities Include (But are not limited to):
- Maintain factory T&A for all production styles
- Maintain detailed tracker for all styles under product development with accurate status
- Follow up with factory for the outstanding submits like lab dips, trims etc.
- Follow up with the forwarders on the shipment arrival dates
- Work closely with the operations team ensuring that all SKU level details - HTS code, cost, COO, sizes, colors etc. are accurately entered in NetSuite
- Assist with PO entries into the system
- Revision of ETD/ETA and price in NetSuite on regular basis
- Prepare and send packages to factory and follow up with tracking number
- Track & Review TOP samples to ensure all trims, fit and fabric details are correct
- Own entire sample management and ensure that all samples are tagged and kept for reference in an orderly manner. Coordinate and manage garments through various stages of development (sampling) and production
- Pick up and drop off materials, samples and packages to DHL and FedEx (must be able to drive your own car – mileage will be reimbursed)
- Prepare and organize fabrics and trims such as labels, zippers, buttons, fabric, hangtags, etc.
- Assist with preparing for fittings and production meetings
- Assist with providing direction to overseas manufacturers
- Maintain a clean office and sample area
Experience: 6 months to 3 years experience in apparel production management.
Education: College degree preferred or working towards completion.
Location: Oceanside, CA
Salary: Commensurate with experience.
