Who You Are
As our Field Applications Engineer, you will support Sales and Engineering with prospective and current customers. You will serve as our in-house expert on Kaarta products, systems and applications from pre- to post-purchase stages of our sales process. In this customer facing role, you will provide exceptional customer in resolution of technical issues or problems.
Your Responsibilities
- Actively supports Sales with requirements analysis, product demonstrations, competitive positioning and post sale implementation.
- Conducts professional in-field product demonstrations and educates our customers about Kaarta products and services.
- Resolves technical issues or questions from customers via email, telephone and on-site visits. Delivers solutions and ensures customer satisfaction.
- Trains customers, channel partners and internal team on functionality, benefits, and application of Kaarta products and services.
- Documents customer issues and resolutions in CRM system.
- Proactively brings ideas and learnings from the field to our engineering and sales organization to improve the customer experience and products.
- Participate in new product testing and development efforts.
What You Bring
- AS/BS in Engineering, GIS / Surveying or related technical field
- 5+ years of direct application engineering experience in hardware systems and functionality
- Excellent presentation, communication and demonstration skills of complex technical products
- A curious mind that seeks to quickly understand our products, services, business and unique points of differentiation
- Skill and experience troubleshooting and resolving both hardware and software problems
- Ability and desire to travel 50 - 70% of the time both domestic and international
- Creative problem solving capabilities with a relentless customer service focus
- Strong relationship building skills
