JoVE is looking for a driven Marketing Assistant to join our marketing team in the company headquarters in Cambridge, MA. This role will report to the Marketing Manager, and will be at the heart of the marketing team supporting all marketing activities. This is an ideal position for a motivated individual looking for a career in marketing.
Responsibilities for Marketing Assistant:
- Coordinate event logistics for domestic and international conferences, including registration, budgets, attendee communication, booth & décor, promotions, swag, catering, A/V equipment, shipping, vendor management, and internal briefs.
- Keep the marketing department organized: manage calendars, update JoVE's website, manage marketing budgets, track projects, manage marketing cloud drives.
- Assist in maintaining our CRM (Salesforce) and marketing automation software databases.
- Assist in building email campaigns, landing pages, forms and workflows within our marketing automation platform.
- Brainstorm and develop ideas for innovative marketing campaigns including email, digital, print, and more.
- Help compile and organize market research.
- Other duties as assigned
Requirements for Marketing Assistant:
- BA/BS degree in marketing or related communications field with 1+ years of professional experience. Science graduates with a desire to work in marketing are also encouraged to apply.
- Independent self-starter with a positive attitude. Follow-through and responsiveness is also very important
- Detail oriented and organized with the ability to manage multiple projects within deadlines.
- Excellent writing and editing skills.
- Knowledge of Marketing Automation Software such as HubSpot, Pardot, or Marketo a plus.
- Knowledge of Adobe Creative Suite (InDesign, Photoshop, or Illustrator) a plus.
- Results-oriented and passionate about growing sales through marketing.
