The Position
We are seeking an ambitious individual to grow JoVE’s K-12 division by managing lead generation and outbound campaigns via phone in the Cambridge, MA office
As a Business Development Representative within our K-12 department, you will be expected to prospect and develop new customer leads. There will be high volumes of calls to educators. In-depth knowledge of the sciences and scientific research is not a necessity for candidate consideration. For us someone who has the drive to succeed and hit targets and goals in much more important.
We are actively disrupting the market with our publication, therefore the ideal candidate will have no problems challenging the status quo. Past victories are important but more essential is your desire to want to be part of something exciting and new – you will have the opportunity to see your success directly affect the growth of the company.
We are offering competitive base salary plus uncapped monthly commission.
Responsibilities:
· Manage and deliver monthly sales volume for a major market to meet or exceed revenue plan focusing on secondary schools, primarily over the phone. Warm and cold-calling included.
· Creative thinking to develop prospects
· Delivering weekly, monthly and quarterly KPI(including call volume, meetings booked, etc)
· Utilize CRM database of schools, educators, potential contributors/subscribers, etc. to grow and manage accounts and activities.
Qualifications:
· 2+ years of sales experience
· Willingness to make a high level of outbound phone calls daily
· Ability to problem-solve
· Eagerness to learn and understand new products, build relationships and think strategically
·
· Strong communication and presentation skills
· Negotiating skills and ability to “close deals”
· Organizational skills
