Concordia Bootcamps is seeking a part-time Career Coach to join our growing team.
We care deeply about the success of our students. We know how hard it can be finding your first job as a developer. Our Career Services team provides mentorship and support to our graduates to help them achieve their goals. The Career Coach’s responsibility is to make sure his/her group of students have everything they need to land their first job.
As a Career Coach you will:
- Manage a small group of job-seeking graduates all the way through to finding a satisfying job,
- Run regular one-on-one sessions with each student to assess their situation and act accordingly,
- Build a unique strategy with each student according to his/her individual situation and goals,
- Review application materials until they are pitch perfect for the job market (LinkedIn profile, resume, Github, cover letters, etc.),
- Run technical and culture-fit mock interviews and provide useful feedback,
- Make sure graduates are fully equipped and have all the resources needed to start the job search process successfully,
- Keep track of each student’s progress and actions throughout the process (outreach, application, interview, offer),
- Stay informed about development job trends and opportunities arising as well as recruitment and networking events,
- Be available for your graduates when they need specific help during the job search process or when they need a boost of motivation and reassurance,
- Help graduates review and negotiate job offers,
- Gather placement data and share the information with the Career Coach Manager.

- You are able to build meaningful connections easily with others
- You’re someone that will be truly happy to see his/her students get jobs
- You have good listening and communication skills
- You are very detail oriented
- You over communicate everything
- You have experience in technical recruitment or career coaching
This is a part-time role and the hours will vary. You can expect to spend anywhere from 0-10 hours per week coaching students. The hours can be flexible (nights/weekends) and work can be done remotely or in-person.
