Jolt was created after our founder—then owner of a Baskin Robbins franchise—lost $10,000 in product when a freezer failed overnight. Our software now helps solve problems like these for businesses in 55 countries across the globe, improving operations and employee management for restaurants, retail, entertainment, and dozens of other industries. We’ve helped hourly employees complete over 1 billion tasks, and we’re only looking to improve that trajectory from here.
Job Description:
As a Product Owner at Jolt, you are ultimately responsible for the success of a product and making sure that the work of your development team is planned, prioritized, communicated, and delivered in a way that moves the product forward. You live and breathe for the customer and anticipate their needs before they happen. You are a master communicator and can relay your vision to the rest of your team. You have no fear of working across department lines, collaborating with sales, marketing, and customer success. You are comfortable wearing many hats including business strategist, product designer, market analyst, customer liaison, and project manager. You do whatever it takes to power through obstacles, ensure development resources are maximized, and that value is constantly delivered to the customer, ultimately leading to the success of the product. You will report to the Head of Product.
Responsibilities:
Product Vision
- Help identify, define, and communicate the product vision by gathering data to support strategies and outline goals
Define the Problem
- Research areas of vulnerability and opportunity by utilizing tools such as end-user feedback, focus groups, and competitor analysis
- Research customer pain points and analyze the severity to prioritize work accordingly
Roadmap
- Collaborate with designers and other team members to define cross-product requirements, including the solved pains and jobs to be done for a given persona
- Collect and analyze data to help prioritize work based on the features value
- Present roadmap proposals to stakeholders
- Communicate business requirements and work with Dev teams to plan and prioritize the work to be done.
- Collaborate with team leads to maintain focus on roadmap priorities
Release
- Coordinate with marketing, sales, CS, and customers to release new products and features
- Propose KPI’s used to monitor product health and growth. Own these KPI’s pre and post-release
Qualifications:
- 4+ Years professional experience in software product management, working directly with developers.
- Strong track record of crafting roadmaps and delivering successful products well-aligned with business strategy
- Excellent business communication skills, both written and verbal
- Process Oriented - Strong history of creating, improving, and adhering to a product planning and development process
- Experience with a B2B and SaaS business model
