Remote Title Examiner provides comprehensive title insurance coverage and professional services for purchases, construction, refinances, or equity loans. The Company's thorough searches, title clearance, and insurance help to produce clear property titles and enable the efficient transfer of real estate. Projects undertaken can range from simple parcels requiring a few hours of production time to multi-million dollar commercial properties that may take days or even weeks to complete.
Job Summary:
• Abstracts county records for commercial and sometimes residential properties in multiple counties.
• Researches chain of title for commercial properties ranging in complexity, to determine ownership status and encumbrances affecting the title.
• Analyzes title research results, examining various documents often back to the root title for the property and determines the appropriate legal description and vesting information as well as the appropriate method to reflect encumbrances affecting the property in the requested title report.
• Complete real estate title property reports ranging in complexity from easy to moderately complex which may require the guidance or support of more senior staff for completion.
• Perform job duties with a high level of accuracy based upon documented procedures and processes.
• Complete work in a timely and efficient manner to support the service level targets in place with the customer.
• Utilize a variety of public, private and proprietary software applications to gather and analyze data and to prepare the title product.
Job Requirements:
• Must have high school diploma or equivalent.
• Minimum 3+ yrs experience with Florida state law.
• Ability to work in an accurate, detail-oriented and highly productive manner.
• General PC proficiency, Microsoft Office Suite, Internet Explorer, etc. is required.
• Demonstrated excellent problem solving and analytical ability, including the ability to perform basic mathematical calculations and manage tasks requiring detail, concentration, and accuracy.
• Demonstrated customer service orientation.
• Ability to communicate professionally, both verbally and in writing.
