Commercial Credit Manager

Prepares a comprehensive analysis of financial, industry and economic data for prospective, existing and renewal of business loans. Prepares underwriting package according to Company policy and makes final presentation to the Member Business Loan Committee. Assists in preparing and reviewing loan closing documents and funding of loans. Performs and directs detailed collateral valuation of properties in the portfolio by analyzing current economic and market conditions. Performs and directs risk analysis of the loan portfolio in compliance with policy regulations. Assists in direction of loan servicing and processing staff to ensure quality and service standards are met.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
1. Business Loans-Production
• Evaluates and analyzes loan requests and related documents while complying with regulatory standards, policies and practices and make informed, accurate and complete credit recommendations to management.
• Values properties taking into account financial spreads, vacancy rates and demand for properties of that particular type.
• Assists in monitoring and directing staff to ensure appraisals, environmental reports and other support documents are obtained in a timely manner and comply with regulatory and industry standards.
• Assists in developing new business loan programs that provides for the needs of the membership while maintaining a reasonable level of risk
• Helps develop and assumes responsibility for implementing policies, procedures, and guidelines for underwriting, servicing, monitoring and administering business loans and accounts.

2. Portfolio Management for Asset Quality:
• Implements risk management strategies, portfolio management tactics, and revisions to policy. Analyzes and evaluates business financial statements and performs cash flow analysis for various industry types to assess financial condition.
• Monitors the commercial loan portfolio to identify problem loans and loans with deteriorating credit situations and takes immediate action to address and correct the situation. In addition, maintains close knowledge of each member's business, accounts, and loans to avoid and minimize associated risks. Impact of actions can range from $2-4 million.
• Ensures standards, policies and operating procedures are compliant with laws, regulations and Company risk tolerances.
• Maintains in-depth knowledge of and complies with all Company, departmental and security policies and procedures, as well as, federal regulations applicable to the position, including BSA requirements. Completes all required compliance training as assigned.
• Performs other duties as assigned.
