UX/UI designer

Jebbit is seeking a passionate UX/UI designer to lead the design of great user experiences for brands and consumers. You will work closely with Jebbit’s Product team, users, and engineers to refine your designs and help deliver user-driven products to market. You will lay the foundations of design at Jebbit and help to build, hire, and grow a strong team. The exact role will be tailored to your strengths and you will have freedom to explore other facets of design in which you want to learn and grow.

Responsibilities

  • Lead the UX of new products and features through the design, development, and release cycle
  • Translate product requirements into user experiences you will be proud to share with others
  • Collaborate with users, engineers, and other stakeholders to validate prototype designs
  • Help design and maintain a unique yet consistent user experience throughout Jebbit’s applications
  • Encourage the development of a user-first mindset amongst your non-designer teammates
  • Deliver UI mockups to engineers (if interface design is in your toolkit)
  • Help build, hire, and grow the design team at Jebbit

Requirements

  • 3-5+ years in a design-based role, with at least 2 years in a UX role
  • Proven skills designing and shipping mobile products, web apps, or other software
  • An ability to lead the design process through research, requirement gathering, refinement, and delivery
  • An ability to analyze user needs and goals using a variety of techniques like sitemaps, user flows, storyboarding, card sorting, etc
  • Strong ability to communicate your UX concepts to others by sketching, wireframing, and/or creating mockups
  • Demonstrated experience collaborating with product managers and engineers
  • Experience with Sketch, Photoshop, Illustrator, or similar tools
  • An appreciation for traditional and contemporary design standards

Bonus qualifications

  • An ability to produce clickable prototypes for the rest of your team (Invision, Balsamiq, etc)
  • Experience with data visualization
  • A desire to grow into a leadership role
  • Experience with information architecture
  • Experience designing products for marketers or using marketing technology
