    A leading global company in the energy field is actively seeking a Financial Business Analyst to join their team in Savannah, GA. Under the supervision of the assistant controller, the Financial Business Analyst will be responsible for providing analytic support by maintaining, analyzing, and reporting key performance measures to the business unit management. This role requires the individual to work independently as well as part of the overall team, with a high level of initiative and motivation to ensure that deliverables are met.  Major responsibilities will include data mining and analysis to supply value-added information in order to optimize processes by using various reporting and analytical tools. Additionally, this position will help to further develop the framework for evaluating and measuring operational and strategic performance and highlight areas of focus and opportunity.
     
    Daily Duties and Responsibilities:
     
    • A full analysis of the business segment assigned.
    • Billing and cost review
    • Margin erosion analysis
    • Accounts receivable and suspense review
    • Production hours and headcount review
    • Preparation of cost & revenue analysis/management and rate studies
    • Participate in internal audits involving the review of accounting and administrative controls
    • Review account reconciliations 
    • Profit & Loss, Balance Sheet, and Cash flow analysis
    • Assist in the development of budgets and forecasts
    • Support management review of financial statements with management personnel
    • Various ad hoc analysis and special projects as required
    • Comply with all safety policies, practices, and procedures reporting all unsafe activities to Management and/or Human Resources.
    • Participate in proactive team efforts to achieve departmental and company goals.
    • Contribute to building a positive team spirit.
    • Communicate effectively with staff and management at all levels.
    • Protect confidential information by not communicating, disclosing to, or using for benefit of 3rd parties.
    • Maintain the highest degree of honesty and integrity at all times.
    • Perform other such duties as may be required.

    Your Qualities:

    • Bachelor's degree (B. A.) from four-year college or university, at least four (4) years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
    • Language Skills, Mathematical Skills, Reasoning Ability
    • Computer Skills: Basic personal computer skills including electronic mail, word processing, spreadsheet, and advanced database knowledge of MPR, ERP and BOM processes.
