Qualifications / Requirements
  • PhD in Computational Biology/Bioinformatics or equivalent, preferably with 3 years of postdoc and/or industry experience
  • Minimal 5 years of experience in analyzing next-generation sequencing reads, search/query public dataset
  • Minimal 2 years of experience  in performing microbial community analyses leveraging statistical tools
  • Experience in the application of machine learning to biological data
  • Expert with Python/R/Bash scripting
  • Experience with SQL, NoSQL, Linux and AWS tools
  • Demonstrated proficiency in database management
  • Proficiency in statistical methods and analyses

Roles and Responsibilities:
  • Direct computational analyses and development of algorithms to support research and development projects
  • Setup infrastructure, develop pipelines and deploy tools for microbiome analysis
  • Work closely with microbiologists and biochemists in the development of algorithms for predicting microbiome community responses
  • Develop internal tool sets for lab automation and information management
  • Prepare and present data and results
