Position Overview

We are looking for an individual who strongly believes in the mission of helping people and brings years of laboratory experience. This position will involve interfacing with clinical trial participants, validating and performing assays, performing statistical analyses on resulting data, and presenting these data to the scientific team and company. The ideal candidate is meticulous, is capable of extreme attention to detail and is capable of thinking out of the box to address novel approaches to assay design. We are looking for an ambitious individual looking for opportunities in professional growth. 

Qualifications / Requirements

  • BS/MS degree in biology, microbiology, immunology or a related discipline
  • Effective verbal and written communication skills
  • 2+ years in industry, Or in some cases an equivalent combination of education, professional training, and experience that provides the required Knowledge, Skills and Abilities may be considered
  • Demonstrated experiences in large batch sample processing with integrity and compliance to SOP
  • CLIA lab experience is a plus

Roles and Responsibilities:
  • Collect, assess, manage and document human specimens
  • Perform a variety of molecular assays, such as immunoassays (eg. ELISA) and enzymatic assays
  • Perform assay development, validation and benchmarking
  • Interact with other associates and scientists
  • Reliably identify and report results and issues
  • Ensure lab cleanliness and safety, maintenance and equipment calibration are performed according to schedule
  • Present data and results to stakeholders together with scientists

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities
  • Exposure to biological fluids with potential exposure to infectious organisms
  • Frequent mobility required
  • Good organizational and time management skills
  • Effective interpersonal skills
  • Attention to detail
  • Proven flexibility and adaptability
  • Comfortable in a fast-paced small company environment with minimal supervision
  • Plus: experience in a biobanking or clinical lab environment
