What you will be doing:
We are looking for someone to become a trusted advisor to Jane by helping the company make better, evidence-based decisions that optimize our growth.
Activities include:
- Leading a team of BI Analysts and Data Engineers using Agile methodologies.
- Managing the creation and maintenance of a Data Dictionary and Business Glossary relevant to business at Jane
- Partner with executives and heads of departments to effectively anticipate and define opportunities to apply business intelligence and analytics solutions to improve business outcomes.
- Manage solutions that will range from basic reporting, dashboard and scorecard portals, attribution and customer journey, to advanced analytics and statistical analysis models.
Experience you will need:
- BS in Mathematics, Economics, Computer Science, Information Management or Statistics.
- 7+ years working in Data Analytics
- Of which at least 3+ years working as Leader of an Analytics Team
- Outstanding judgment and excellent interpersonal, communication, presentation, and organizational skills
- Experience managing a company’s Business Glossary, Data Dictionary, and overall Data Lineage.
- Proficient with advanced statistical methods.
- Technical understanding of relational data, data warehouse models, and ETL strategy.
- Experience with aws (AWS: Lambda, Athena, S3, Data lake, Redshift)
- Experience with ETL tools, such as SSIS, Talend, Pentaho, etc.
- Experience building reports and dashboards in tools like Looker or Tableau.
- Extraction of data from a variety of data sources for ad-hoc analysis including troubleshooting data quality issues
- A passion for discovering the truth in data with a willingness to change your opinion based on new information.
- Communication skills for sharing insights from data, especially when it challenges the opinions of stakeholders.
Bonus Experience:
- R, Python, Matlab, SAS, or similar
- GCP: GA, Firebase, Big Query, GA 360
- E-Commerce industry experience
