IT Systems Administrator


The IT Administrator will be responsible for the planning, management, daily operation and maintenance of our company IT resources and supporting around 50 users in our main office and 20 additional users spread across several small satellite offices. The candidate will take care of the proper functioning of the computer systems and network. They will install and update infrastructure, configure hardware systems and software/applications, set up security measures and conduct vulnerability testing. They will also be responsible for training employees and guests in proper and secure usage of systems.


  • Maintaining all of the computer systems and network of the company
  • Management of network hardware, servers and employee machines
  • Maintain firewalls for our office and offsite connectivity, as well as VPN
  • Provide Helpdesk support on Windows and Mobile platforms
  • Configure computers and update them with latest software upgrades and security patches
  • Software and OS patch deployment for employees and servers
  • Oversee management and maintenance of mobile and remote devices (phones, tablets, laptops)
  • Provide training to team members on use of computer software and hardware
  • Troubleshoot and resolve hardware, connection, printer and software issues reported to the help desk (via trouble ticket system to track issues/resolutions)
  • Implement and execute update & backup plans for storage arrays and servers
  • Maintain proper storage of company data and backups
  • Maintain company cloud storage
  • Monitor for, quarantine and remove virus, spyware, and other malicious software
  • Manage relationships with network providers, voice providers, domain registrars and other service providers
  • Handling of IT Assets, Support/maintenance contract and license renewals
  • Document and maintain operational procedures and policies (incl. up-to-date disaster recovery plan)
  • Perform other duties as assigned


  • 4+ years' as an IT Systems Administrator or equivalent experience
  • Experience with installation, configuration, troubleshooting and support for PC, Mac, laptops and mobile devices (virtual machine knowledge a plus)
  • Thorough knowledge of windows and Mac operating systems (Windows XP through 10, Windows Server, OSX, etc.)
  • Experience performing daily tasks like monitoring Backups and Restores of critical data
  • Experience monitoring updates and troubleshoot Client security incl. Antivirus/Malware solutions
  • Working Knowledge of Active Directory, Group Policy, DNS,DHCP,RAID types
  • Working Knowledge of Networking (TCP/IP), LAN/WAN systems, LAN protocols
  • Messaging Infrastructure Support (Exchange 2003-2010, Google Apps for business, etc.)
  • Firm Understanding of networking fundamentals
  • Expertise in deploying business critical applications and solutions
  • Strong knowledge of Google Docs/Google for Work and cloud services


  • Experience with Ring Central
  • Experience with Salesforce
