We're looking for a senior Java Architect here at Ippon USA!
We're an established boutique consulting firm building our New Your presence and need a Java Architect to take a leadership role within our firm to help drive our business.
The Java Architect’s role is to strategically design and implement information systems and networked software architectures that support core organizational functions, and assure their high availability and will also gain organizational commitment for all systems and software plans, as well as evaluate and select all technologies required to complete those plans. In addition, this person will provide technical leadership, from strategic decision-making down to the project planning level.

Here's what we're looking for:
Knowledge & Experience:
- 7+ years hands on work experience with Java
- Expert level Java
- Extensive experience in developing strategic systems architecture plans
- Expert knowledge of Spring / Spring Boot
- Solid grounding in core enterprise applications, including JEE
- Hands-on experience with application development tools, including Eclipse/IntelliJ
- Strong knowledge of software evaluation principles and practices
- Experience designing and developing APIs and Microservices
- Familiar with container technology (i.e. Docker)
- Strong understanding of cloud computing (AWS) with hands-on experience
- Proven experience with continuous integration and delivery implementations and tools
- Attention to details. Mention the word ‘pineapple’, in your interview
- Proven project planning and management experience
- Experience configuring and deploying applications in the cloud (AWS)
- Someone who has fun coding!
This Experience is a plus:
- AWS Certifications
- Experience contributing to open source software
- Experience developing applications using JHipster (we created it)
- Familiar with the technology stack used by JHipster: Angular, Spring Boot, Yeoman
- Thought Leadership!
