Summary of Position:
The Agency Director is the strategic liaison between Ippon USA’s Business operations and Ippon’s Clients in New York City - responsible for overseeing daily operations of the Agency including P&L, building and managing relationships; demonstrating Ippon’s focus on solutions across all of Ippon’s business lines to help drive our growth and strategic plan; and serving as a “trusted advisor” and primary point of contact for all Clients’ needs.

Reporting to the North America Managing Director, the overall function of the role is to be the Agency leader on point to ensure all parts of local and enterprise technology solutions are delivered with high quality and positive results. Also to assist business development, and clients in determining how to achieve business results quicker and more effectively through technology. This individual is responsible for understanding business direction and needs, in order to drive formulation of solutions and roadmaps; providing insights of Ippon USA’s technical solutions capabilities, leveraging internal resources and technology solutions. They are responsible for working with Global and local leadership in defining the strategic approach to delivering the needs of the clients and business (stakeholder management and demand management).

Principle Duties:
Strategy & Planning
• Create business roadmaps in collaboration with business leaders – from Global leadership to Agency Management. Includes running planning and status meetings.
• Takes a leadership role in shaping technology services aligned to the strategic direction of the organization, and clients served.
• Responsible for staying abreast with industry and technology trends that impact or support the business.
• Develop and implement forward-thinking improvements that enable Ippon’s ability to deliver more, faster, and with a higher degree of quality and business value by collaborating with the Leadership Team.

Relationship Management
• Responsible for effective stakeholder management – to create positive relationships through management of expectations and agreed upon objectives.
• Ensures/participates in development of business cases, requirements, and documentation in support of proposed and approved business initiatives in collaboration with business stakeholders and key business users
• Be a trusted advisor to business partners and Clients regarding technology concerns, concepts, and opportunities.
• Provides Business Leadership insights to the needs and concerns of Clients/partners (“pulse of relationship”).

Operational Management
• Holds P&L responsibility. Manages the P&L, in coordination with Accounting. 
• Leads and promotes effective teamwork and manages the resolution of interpersonal issues, serving as a point of escalation.
• Lead all internal team members and departments following Ippon USA’s mission and values while promoting organizational culture.
Coordinates closely across functional areas that are supporting business and project operations – stays aware of and actively manages when necessary, production issues, project status, delays, etc. Works across teams to broker support and commitment of project needs.


Essential Training/Certifications:
• Education: BS degree in related field (Comp Science, Engineering, Business); MBA or equivalent highly desirable.
• Job-related experience: 5+ years relevant experience;
