Account Executive

Involvio is the leading mobile student engagement platform helping college and university administrators assess and increase student involvement, unify access to campus resources, and improve student success from orientation through graduation. We’re looking for motivated individuals passionate about improving the student experience to join our Campus Partnerships Team in India

The Account Executive plays an integral role on our Campus Partnerships Team. His or her primary responsibility is to close new partnerships with prospective colleges and universities. The successful candidate will be energetic and self-motivated with strong communication skills and attention to detail. 

Summary
You will report to the Director of Campus Partnerships and develop new sales opportunities with colleges and universities in India, cultivate new relationships, educate prospects, and ultimately be driving new sales to exceed revenue targets. This position is located in our Bangalore office and the sales territory is the entire country of India. Candidates should be self-motivated and thrive in a start-up culture.

Primary Job Tasks
  • Develop sales opportunities in India with colleges and universities in India, cultivate new relationships, educating prospects, and ultimately driving new sales to exceed revenue targets.
  • You will conduct sales presentations, and perform calls and emails necessary to develop a strong relationship with the prospects
  • Demonstrate an effective approach to developing your territory and keeping a business plan up-to-date, and building on a proper sales strategy. This includes having an in-depth knowledge at all times of your territory, market trends, competitor activity, and budgetary constraints
  • Ongoing learning of product and sales techniques. This is a technical SaaS product and changing market, that requires you continually grow your knowledge and demonstrate this expertise in conversations with prospects
  • Manage product evaluations, and coordinate with sales engineers to provide a high level of success through our standard 3-6 month evaluations
  • You will report to the sales team manager and will produce sales forecasts and utilize SalesForce, Outreach.io and other tools

Preferred Qualifications, Skills, and Experience
  • 5+ years of technology/SaaS sales or equivalent experience
  • Experience selling EdTech, SaaS, or to the higher education space preferred
  • Demonstrate the ability to work in a consultative sales environment with a long sales cycle
  • Ability to learn and explain technical concepts to technical staff at colleges and universities
