Position Preview
Using both online and offline marketing channels, the Marketing Strategist is responsible for driving creative and strategic thinking to build awareness and identify sales leads. The Marketing Strategist will also assist in executing key tactics to drive sales by promoting the firm’s brand and further raising awareness across clients and influencers.
Responsibilities
- Work closely with the Executive Committee and key manufacturer partners to develop targeted, effective marketing strategies
- Assist with execution of all marketing tactics to support the company’s sales growth, including developing and maintaining the annual marketing budget
- Facilitate proposal and bid development for strategic opportunities, including layout, content and timeline
- Enhance company’s existing website, sales collateral, presentations and videos to better support sales efforts
- Continually monitor company’s website and social media channels to maximize engagement and leverage performance data to optimize content
- Coordinate with company’s Business Development and Sales teams to plan and implement local events and industry sponsorships
- Monitor select industry and government events and periodicals to help drive leads and develop effective marketing strategies
- Respond to unscheduled and unplanned marketing needs with a positive, can-do attitude
Experience
- Bachelor’s degree in marketing, communication or related discipline required
- Minimum of 5+ years marketing experience with some copywriting, editorial and graphic design skills
- Experience working within the Architectural & Design industry preferred
- Previous experience with execution of diversified social and digital marketing techniques
- Proficiency in PowerPoint, InDesign and Excel required
- Experience in WordPress and SEO/SEM/ Google Analytics preferred
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail
- Superior communication skills, both verbal and written
- High sense of urgency – able to multi-task efficiently and calmly
- Self-motivated – has an entrepreneurial nature, a problem solver
- Creative thinker – willing to suggest new ideas and develop marketing strategies that create competitive advantages
